The following available rescues may have frightened temperaments, but all have been extensively screened to assure that they are not bite cases.

* Bonnie *
Bonnie is about 3 - 4 years old, on the small side and doing fairly well in her adjustment to the real world. She gets along well with other dogs, likes people, but still spooks easily, is UTD on vax, spayed and microchipped. Bonnie is doing her foster time in Ohio and is ready to go to a permanent, understanding home who can help her finish her transformation into a real dog! Adoption Pending!

* Super Sweet Reba! *
We're guessing Reba to be somewhere around 4 - 6 years old. She's totally sweet, very quiet, completely non-aggressive with all other animals and 100% easy to deal with in all ways. Reba is a bit on the reserved side, she seems to be waiting for that other shoe to drop, but even that she'd take in stride. Reba is one of those older dogs that needs a nice, mellow place to call home, she'd fit into just about any area and we'd love to find her a doting family to help her catch up on all the spoiling a dog like her deserved, but never got. Reba is being fostered in Juneau, Alaska and we'd love to find her a local home so she doesnt have to be shipped again. Reba is UTD on vax, has been spayed and is microchipped. Adoption Pending!

*Wonderful, quiet older dogs*
There are several older ACDs available who are quiet, timid and in need of a lifetime of TLC to make up for the abuses heaped on them at the puppy mill. There are some wonderful older dogs who've stolen the hearts of the shelter workers, they'd love to finally be a cherished part of someone's family. These older dogs are going to be hard to place, everyone wants a young dog or a pup, but these guys need a place too. Think you can open your heart and your home to one of our quiet older dogs? We'd love to hear from you. Contact julie@keltoi-acds.com for more info.

2 older red girls and a special needs blue girl are in need of foster homes, please contact us at julie@keltoi-acds.com if you can help.

* Shy Seven is Renamed Sky *
Seven turned out to be a lot more needy than any of us could have imagined. She's still very sweet, but she's had a very hard time getting over her fear of people and new situations. Things were not looking too good for Miss Seven, but for whatever reason fate helped her along until a suitable long term foster home showed up. Seven, who is now named Sky, found herself a patient angel who's willing to continue to work this kind hearted little dog and help her get over her major fear issues. We're pretty sure that Sky wont ever be 100% dog, but we're all hoping time and one on one attention will help her learn that its really ok to be a dog and people are pretty cool afterall. At this point Sky will be doing several more months of foster care, but she may be ready to go in the late spring 2002. If you think you'd be the right person for this special needs dog, please contact julie@keltoi-acds.com and we'll talk about her progress.
